Mother's Day

The kids sang a song for me this Mother's Day. It was so sweet.

Mother Dear....

On Mothers' Day the Primary children sang this song to their Mothers. It was Carly's first time singing in church and she was very nervous. Enjoy!!!

Mothers....

Here is a picture of my Mom and Dad when we went camping with them last summer. Over the years my point of view of Mothers' Day has changed considerably. When I was young I did not fully understand the reason we celebrated Mothers' Day. Now, I am baffled by the fact that we only take one day out of the year to honor the women in our life and all they do for us. Perhaps my perspective has changed because I am now a mother and am starting to understand exactly how much mothers do. I am grateful for my mother and all she has taught me. Growing up my Mom always made it a point to teach us how to cook, clean, work, etc. along beside her and it wasn't until now that I try to teach my children the same skillls that I have truly appreciated her efforts. She taught me everything I know about being a mother and I am grateful to her for that everyday.
