Baby #4 is here!!!!

Welcome to our family Jayda Lynn.  We feel so blessed to finally have her here with us.  She is a very pleasant baby. I went into labor early Tuesday evening (April 24th) and had contractions that were about two minutes apart and had been going on for over fourty five minutes and so we arranged for a babysitter and headed to the hospital.  I continued to labor for about five more hours and was walking a lot to make sure the contractions kept doing their job.  But, in the end I was sent home because I was not showing enough progress.  This was the worst thing ever!!!  I was so, so excited for our new little one to arrive, only to be sent home.  It was horrible.  So, to help me feel better Josh bought me some McDonalds on the way home.  What a good man!  I continued to have contractions off and on all night and into the next day.  But, they had slowed down to about ten minutes apart.  Lucky for me my doctor was on call (April 25th) and told me to come into the hospital and he would see if he could help me out.  So, once again, we arranged for a babysitter, went into the hospital (we got there about 2:00p.m.) and started the labor process again.  Lots of walking, pain and having my water broken, more pain, an epidural after seven hours of laboring and finally about thirty minutes of relief, followed by more pain than I can put into words but I was afraid to push the call button because I did not want to be disappointed at how little I had progressed, yet again.  Finally Josh pushed the button for me because he could tell I was really hurting.  The nurse came into check me and it was time to push!  Everyone was running in trying to help because it was time to have this baby!!!  I kept pushing the button connected to the epidural to see if I could get any relief from the pain, but it did not help at all!!!  I pushed for about ten minutes, which was nice.  But, the pain was so incredible!!!  The best way I can think to describe it is that it felt like the baby was wrapped in barbed wire.  But, it was all worth it when I finally got to hold her.  She is so sweet!  She only let out one little squeak and the rest of the time they were examining her she just looked around(On a side note...I took this picture to document Jayda's extra fingers.  They are small, but there is a blood supply to them and a little finger nail.  Josh and Caleb were born with similar fingers, all of which have been removed.)

The older siblings came to the hospital to see their new baby sister for the first time.

My sweet girls.  Carly has waited a long time to have a baby sister.  She was so excited to hold her.
