Douglas is one of Carly's many nicknames. Don't ask, Josh came up with it one day and the name just won't go away.
We have been stuck in the princess phase for quite a while now and I am not sure when it is going to end, so we have made the most of it by inventing some fun "princess" hair do's.
Tonight for Family Home Evening we learned about the Holy Ghost and after teaching Carly some of the ways we can feel it, etc. the discussion went something like this:
Mom: "What are some things we do that make us feel good inside?"
Carly: "Eating dinner."
Mom: "What are some things we do that make us feel bad inside?"
Carly: "When I smoke."
When she said this I almost choked. It was so funny. I am not sure how much Carly gets out of our family night lessons, but she often surprises us with her insight. We sure love her and hope that all of our children turn out this cute.
