Fun New Toys....

I was in the bathroom getting something out of drawer when the kids found fun new toys.......they found toothpaste. I got Diego and Spiderman toothpaste on sale and the cartoon characters on the tubes kept the kids entertained most of the morning. I love it when that happens.

Goofy kids.

Conversations with Carly:

-Carly was playing dress up and after putting on several layers of clothes said:-
CARLY: "I am so HOT....like a sausage!"

-The other day we went to the regular grocery store [Safeway] after going to costco the day before.-
CARLY: "Mom, where are we?"
MOM: "Safeway."
CARLY: "Mom, can we go to C O S T C O - everyday????" *Costco is by far my kids favorite store.

CARLY: [as she runs] "Mom, do I got fast legs?"

CARLY: "Mom, you know some people are already done with work cause they want to pick flowers with their kids...." [obviously complaining about how busy her dad is]

CARLY: "Mom, do you know, I am trying to be just like you?"
*I cannot remember what I said, or if I said anything at all. But, I do remember I felt like crying. Carly is such a sweetie.

How to train your daughter to clean up her toys....

To begin, kick the dolls your daughter won't clean up into the middle of the floor, so that they are in plain sight.

Then, release the caged little brother into the room where the toys are found. It won't be long before he sees the girly stuff left out for him.

He will seize the girly items and sprint full speed to the garbage can--gnawing on the plastic dresses as he goes. Then, without hesitation, he'll hurl the dolls to their fate. That's right, as a typical boy he knows just what to do with that girly stuff. And our little cleaner is so fast and aggressive that his older sister is literally helpless in her attempts to stop him.

Repeat these steps each time the older daughter leaves her toys out. It won't take long for her to realize that it's better for her to clean up the toys before mom and dad let little brother out of his cage. In a matter of weeks you either have a very cleanly little girl or a lack of toys to be left out on the floor. Problem solved.
