Christmas at The Cooks

Josh's family practices a tradition of cooking "finnan haddie" on Christmas morning.  I guess it is a fish that existed during Christ's time in the Middle East (Josh wasn't really sure of his explanation though, so forgive me if I get the facts wrong--I might have to ask his mother).  We kinda sorta are continuing the tradition, but our kids are less than enthusiastic.  I told them that it costs over $20/lb, but that may have been the wrong selling point.  This past Christmas, it was clear how James felt about having "finnan haddie" on his plate.

Here are some other Christmas moments we enjoyed together:

 Jayda with her first doll.

Carly got a doll too. Only, you can do this dolls hair and nails.

 Caleb and the hulk.

 James and his Batman mask.

James was pretty excited about this checkers game.

Caleb (a.k.a. The Hulk)

The Hulk and Batman are best buds at our house--there have been moments, though, when they both think there is one superhero too many.

What's your email so I can add you to my blog readers list? I got totally freaked out after I saw a website that had somehow visited the blog.
